Spot and avoid scams
Most wallet losses aren't hacks. They're scams that trick you into giving access. Here's what to watch for.
Red flags
- Anyone asking for your recovery phrase. There is never a legitimate reason. Ever.
- DMs from "support". Real support won't message you first. Kache has no DMs.
- "Verify" or "sync" your wallet. No real service needs your phrase to do this.
- Airdrops that need your phrase or a signature to "claim". Assume they're malicious.
- Fake apps and lookalike sites. Only install from official links, and check the URL.
Before you approve
When a site asks you to connect or sign, Kache shows you the request. Read it. Only approve actions on sites you trust, and disconnect sites you no longer use.
If you ever entered your recovery phrase somewhere suspicious, assume it's compromised: create a new wallet and move your funds immediately.
