Create or Import a Wallet

When you first open Kache you'll choose between creating a brand-new wallet or importing one you already have.

Create a new wallet

  1. Choose Create a new wallet.
  2. Set a password. This encrypts your wallet on this device and unlocks the app. It is not your recovery phrase and can't restore your wallet on its own.
  3. Kache generates a 12-word recovery phrase. Write it down, in order, and store it somewhere safe and offline.
  4. Confirm the phrase to prove you saved it, and you're in.

Your recovery phrase is the master key to your funds. Anyone who has it can take everything. Never screenshot it, paste it into a website, or share it with anyone, including "support".

Import an existing wallet

Already have a Kaspa wallet elsewhere? Import it with its recovery phrase.

  1. Choose Import wallet.
  2. Enter your 12- or 24-word recovery phrase, in order.
  3. Set a password for this device.

Kache re-derives your Kaspa and EVM addresses from the phrase, so your balances appear automatically.

Watch-only wallets

You can also add a watch-only wallet by pasting a Kaspa address. It tracks balances and activity but can't send or sign, useful for monitoring cold storage.

Multiple wallets

Kache supports several wallets at once. Open the wallet menu at the top to add, rename, reorder, or switch between them. Each has its own recovery phrase.
